After 2 1/2 years of being a stay at home mom, I am now a working mom. I am a LVN and my new job is as the intake coordinator at a home health care agency. I’m excited about my new job. I think that I’m really going to enjoy it.
I’ve been crocheting and need to take some pictures to post.
We have had a bit of snowy weather. Tyler was off school today and he will be off tomorrow for snow. Tomorrow Matt is coming home so we will have to leave to pick him up at the airport.
Here’s what it looks like:

Tyler took some pictures today:

Here’s some pictures of a few things I’ve finished recently:

Oh the weather outside is frightful:

I haven’t built a fire but I may have to. It’s currently snowing and I am planning on staying home for the weekend. Of course I’ll have to do lots of crochet.
Now, here’s hoping that my satellite dish will keep working until after Battlestar Galactica
I felt better today and I got a few things done. Here are some more pictures:

I have been in a funk lately. I think it’s mostly just circumstance and I’m hoping that I’ll snap out of it soon. So, I’m going to share some pictures:

I’ll post some more tomorrow!
Today was a very quiet day. Tyler was off school so we all stayed at home and I crocheted quite a bit. I finished the length on my sweet sweater and finished 1 of my socks:

The sweater is going to be at least 3/4 length sleeves.
I’m not sure what color my next socks will be. I’m leaning towards one of these:

I’m leaning more toward the first yarn. The color is beautiful and will go with the sweet sweater. The only drawback is I have to drag out my ball winder and swift.
Thank you for the comments on my dog Lucky. He is a very beloved, somewhat spoiled member of our family. Matt put the afghan back on the couch so Lucky is back to his bed:

I also managed to get a picture of Tia, our cat lying in Tyler’s bunk bed. I’ve never seen her climb up there but Tyler has told met that she climbs up the ladder. I always think she looks like a queen up there.

I’ve been working on a Sweet Sweater. I decided to do some waist shaping, something I’ve never done before. I got to the waist area and switched from a H hook to a G hook for 5 rounds. Then I did 5 rounds with an F hook and then 5 more rounds with a G hook before switching back to a H hook. I tried it on and Wow! what a difference it makes. I showed my husband and he was impressed too. So, I will be adding waist shaping to all of my sweaters. It is amazing the difference that a good fit will make. I am also sold on top down construction that you can try on as you go.

The afghan that I made for the couch fell on the floor and the dog discovered it:

Today was another busy day. I took my husband to work this morning. Then I did some shipping this afternoon.
I did work on my sock and now it is socks:

Sorry about the multiple pictures. I couldn’t decide which one I liked so I included them all.
Last night I turned the heel on the first sock and started the second sock. I am currently doing the gusset increases on the second one. I like to work on both socks at the same time so I don’t get second sock syndrome.
Funny story: My husband gave me a really nice gift card from Knit Picks for Christmas. I of course put it to good use and ordered a bunch of yarn. I have been eagerly waiting for it to arrive. Today when I went to the PO to pick up the mail, there were 2 package notices in it. I waited in line and finally it was my turn. The guy took both of them to the back only to come back a couple of minutes later and said he could only find one and was I sure that I was getting 2? Since the package he had found wasn’t from Knit Picks, I told him I was very sure. He called up another lady so she could go look for it. She walked into the back and almost immediately called out “I found it!” Everybody in the lobby had a good laugh over that one.
